Trade Idea from a warriors fan

Hey guys! I am a huge die hard warriors fan and I was thinking that we should make a trade. I heard Rudy Gay didn't sign the contract extension so, i was thinking you guys should trade Rudy Gay to us for Stephen Jackson, Brandan Wright and a 2nd round pick. Jack can be a 20 point 5 rebound 5 assisst type of player, and once Brandan Wright comes back, he will breakout in Memphis because they will have to focus on Mayo, Conely and Gasol. So Deal or No deal???

Well...

Contracts aren’t even close to matching, but…

I don’t think I would even consider this. Brandan Wright is sketchy, and Jackson is old and would be unhappy on a non-contending team.

To capitalize on this

Jackson has an overly huge contract. I dont think Memphis wants to take on a contract of his caliber, and let him be grumpy for the rest of the way. It just might result into another A.i. ordeal.

That being said, I think Jackson’s numbers are completely inflated. I mean 20points,5 rebs, and 5 assist?!?! Shouldnt GSW be balling by now? Part of that 5 assist is from playing some point (I DONT KNOW WHY!), and part of the 20 points is playing in GSW. Also, just because Jackson is one of best defenders doesnt really make Jackson a great defender. Just a good defender on a bad defending team.

Heh,

since someone else is proposing trade ideas, 2nd round pick, Al Thornton, Marcus Camby, and Craig Smith for Gay?

hmm. Al Thornton I haven’t watched closely this year but he used to be high in my book.
I won’t listen to any trades ffrom Golden State unless Anthony Morrow is included

Anthony Randolph

but he doesn’t seem to fit anywhere in Memphis building plans.

I think to make an even trade at Gay (in GSW standpoint), they might have to offer Ellis and maybe a 2nd pick. (Maybe Gay’s just that high in my books.) But theres no doubt Rudy would completely benefit under Don Nelson.

Hmmm.

I don’t think Rudy would do well in GS, mostly because right now nobody is doing well in GS.
