Whispers in the Wind: Rudy Gay for Ricky Rubio Rumors

Some news outlets are reporting the possibility of a Rudy Gay for Ricky Rubio trade.
Please note that the rumor has come from what essentially amounts to one Minnesota columnist's opinion, much like the Shaq from Cleveland trade rumors that initiated from a WSJ columnist's speculations. Not real facts. Since the Grizzlies passed up on drafting the rights to Rubio because they were scared he might Steve Francis us, I find it highly unlikely that they'll trade a rising star for, well, Rubio's draft rights.
Move along and don't lose a second of sleep over this one.

No matter what you think of Wallace/Heisley, the Grizz would never do this. Heisley loves Gay too much, and the PR fallout would make the Fedex Forum crumble to the ground.

Gay Over Rubio
Rudy has proven he can play in the NBA. Uh, Rubio hasn’t played a single NBA game yet. I would stay with the proven commodity.

Rubio hasn’t even proven he WILL play a game in the NBA yet.
