Official End of Youth Movement: Grizzlies Targeting Brent Barry

Well, I have advocated the acquisition of a full-size shooting guard to spell O.J. Mayo. But I didn't realize that guy was apparently 37 year old Brent Barry, who RealGM is reporting (via the Houston Chronicle) is a possible trade target of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Sounds like the interest in Barry has less to do with his skills, which are admittedly pretty much limited to three-point shooting at this stage of his career, and more to do with his veteran leadership abilities. Barry's legendary lack of quickness rivals only that of his current teammate Yao Ming.

Well

Bones can still move. He just became incredibly turnover-prone, and oddly enough, didn’t make a whole lot of open three pointers.

But yeah, he’s 37. Please, please take him.

Intrigued

I’m extremely intrigued to see if he moves to any of these teams. Also why the hell do the Clips want him? What is the asking price, a second round pick?
