A trade idea from a Nuggets fan

What's the available of Hamed Haddadi like?

As I'm sure is well known by pretty much everyone, the Nuggets need a capable, playable big to match up with the larger lineups in the West.  I have always liked Haddadi's game, and it's pretty obvious he will never see PT behind Randolph, Gasol and Thabeet.

What would Memphis want/need in return for the guy?  A wing scorer?  A straight center trade?

Inquiring minds want to know.

this is my first post on here

i literally just joined tonight, because with the Wizards fading I think I will jump on the Grizzlies bandwagon for the rest of the season.

But, I am assuming you think the Grizzlies would part with Thabeet just for Anthony Carter, Joey Graham, and Johan Petro?

K-Mart would never work because the contracts do not match up.

The only possible deal that would work, which the Grizzlies might do, would be Birdman and JR Smith in exchange for Thabeet. But, somehow I think you would not like that trade.

Yeah

Not only would Denver not do a Birdman-JR trade for Thabeet, salaries don’t even match.

And I’m not interested in Thabeet, I’m interested in Haddadi. He seems much more available than Thabeet anyway.

my bad, i totally misread your post

I thought you asked about Thabeet. Which seemed odd, considering the nuggets would likely have to part with a major asset to get him, which is why I gave you a smart-ass answer.

I have no idea the Grizz interest in Haddadi. Seems like he’d be playing more if he were at least serviceable though, cause the Grizzlies got NOTHING backing up Gasol/Randolph.

Glad to have you around

Hamed Haddadi

Is likely quite available. While the Grizzlies certainly enjoy the luxury of having the most 7-footers in the league, I think that they would also like to maximize any value he has because Haddadi is simply not going to play with Marc Gasol and Hasheem Thabeet on the team.

I think if you’re the Grizzlies and the Nuggets you have to both be open to Hamed Haddadi and returning the first-round pick for, say, Arron Afflalo.

If you’re the Grizzlies looking to get cap-space, I think that cash, Malik Allen, and Joey Graham for Haddadi makes sense since it probably saves both teams money in the long run.
