Lately the Memphis Grizzlies haven't played many games where they won just about every minute, but tonight they did just that. Holding the Hornets trinity of young, talented guards - Chris Paul, Marcus Thornton, and Darren Collison - all below 20 points, the Grizzlies had New Orleans playing from behind all game.

It was impressive to watch this team - especially for the 15,000 in attendance - with their swagger back. Sam Young threw down an incredible, one-handed putback slam, and Rudy Gay 360'd on the break. O.J. Mayo looked confident catching and shooting threes, stepping back for his jumper, and in the lane. 

And as great as O.J. Mayo's 27 points were, Young and Marcus Williams coming off the bench really opened this game up for the Grizz. Young finished with a team-high +24, most of the starters were about even, and pitched in 19 points and 7 boards as his counting stats. Williams only scored 4 but added 5 assists and 2 steals, with only 1 turnover, to steady the Grizzlies offense.

Darrell Arthur also proved he could contribute, logging heavy minutes backing up Zach Randolph. Z-Bo only played 22 minutes, no word why exactly, but he appeared to be struggling, but Darrell Arthur ran the court, defended, and hardly made a mistake.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for Hasheem Thabeet, who hit the glass for 11 boards but also struggled with his hands and blew a wide open dunk.

Rudy Gay, aside from dropping the 360 dunk, also had a notable night because his 20 points put him past Mike Miller as the 3rd all-time scorer in the Grizzlies short franchise history.
