A big thank you to all the new contributors!
For years I didn't have "A" team.
When I was first old enough to truly start having a rooting interest, I remember Zeke and the Bad Boys coming up short against the Lakers. Isiah became my favorite player, and I loved watching him and Joe Dumars, along with John Salley, semi-normal Dennis Rodman, and the rest of the team. As they faded off I, like most kids and many not so young, I followed Jordan and the Bulls. I started having secondary teams and watching other players, but I loved Jordan and hated the Knicks. After Jordan left the first time, I became, like alot of others my age I think, more of a player watcher than a team guy. I had no franchise I felt ties to, and pulled for certain teams i.e. collections of players, year to year. This culminated in the Jason Williams, Chris Webber et. al. Sacramento Kings. I loved that team, almost cried when Webber blew out his knee. I think it was the year after that (I am writing all this off the top of my head), I really noticed the Memphis Grizzlies. With Jason Williams (nobody pushes it on the break like he did), Shane Battier (always loved Duke plus who could hate Shane?), plus Mike Miller, Pau etc., I loved all those guys. And they were a home town team (I have lived in Alabama or Mississippi this whole time)! My Dad took me to Tunica and to Memphis for my 22nd birthday in 2004 and we saw the Grizz drop a 1 or 2 point game to the Sonics. Jwill was my favorite, and he missed practice the day before and rumors in the paper were he was going to be benched for the game and I was heartbroken. Thankfully he was only taken out of the starting lineup and I got to see him. I was already hooked, but even with the roster changes and the sometimes disappointment, I have never waivered in my support for the franchise. I had quit even checking this blog because it was dead, not blaming anyone, just stating a fact. I am so glad to see all the content lately, it is a welcome change. I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone that's making it happen and hope it only builds from here. Thanks to all of you!

Thank You!
We’re going to keep building the site, the content and the discussion. We’re all Grizzlies fans and feel that there’s no reason why we don’t have a place of our own to call home. Thanks for reading the site and please keep up the posts and discussions!
A big thanks from here as well!
I’ve been preaching for a while that we have something special in the Grizzlies. The reason the Sox are still in Boston and the Saints fans had a crazy parade last year was because the fans bought in early on, and never stopped loving their team. They dug their heels in during the bad times, stuck it out, and are reaping the benefits. We have something to be proud of in this team. And thanks to you new guys, we have something to be proud of on this site!

We need to have a SOV expansion campaign
Every active member needs to invite 3 close friends to join SB Nation and hook up with SOV.
For sure
really excited about this year.
